SFX artist Tate Steinsiek established Ill Willed FX in 2001. Ill Willed provides SFX Makeup and prosthetic application and prop fabrication to the film and television industry. Since its creation, Ill Willed has built a client roster including The Jim Henson Company, Dreamworks, Lionsgate, MTV, Law and Order, Dark Sky Films, Don Post Studios, The History Channel, National Geographic, The Discovery Channel, HBO, XBox, Keds Shoes, and Guitar World Magazine. In 2013 Tate and his work were the feature focus in a National Commercial series for CHASE Rewards.

 

Tate's work has been featured in Makeup Artist Magazine, Fangoria, Rue Morgue, The New York Times, and Variety Magazine. Tate has also directed a number of award winning films ncluding "CLOWN" which won "Best if the Next in Horror" at the 2008 Screamfest awards, "My Winter's Coat", and the unnerving "The Devoured" starring Peter Greene, which won the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD at the 2010 Oklahoma International Horror Film Festival.

 

Tate is a two time finalist on SYFY's hit show FACE OFF, having finished Runner Up in both Season 1 & Season 5.

In Dec. 2013, Tate directed his feature film debut, DYNAMITE: A CAUTIONARY TALE, starring Ian Harding, Evanna Lynch,Carol Kane, Michael Badalucco, Brendan Sexton III, and Leo Fitzpatrick. The film is a true story based in late 1960's - early 1970's NY. DYNAMITE expects a summer 2015 release by IRONCLAD PICTURES.

in 2013 I.W.P branched internationally with ILL WILLED WORKSHOPS, holding beginners to advanced workshops.. 2013 saw I.W.W. teach in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Ireland, London, and all over the United States. 2015 already has multiple U.S. dates booked, as well as Spain, Italy, Denmark & Germany.
